A national historic landmark, a brewery, and a historic firehouse will all be stops on a walking tour in Homestead on Saturday. DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh organized the event with 20 stops, as well as two guided tours through Millie’s Ice Cream Factory and Eighth Avenue.

The project includes more than three dozen birdhouses made from concrete, glass, plastic and other discarded human-made materials, to demonstrate the intersection of the natural and urban environments. Also, birds can live there.

The “Ring of Fire” eclipse will be partially visible in Pittsburgh tomorrow morning around sunrise. The maximum view happens at 5:52 a.m.. and can be seen to the east-northeast until about 6:30 a.m.
