The group Black Women for a Better Education was successful Tuesday night in the Pittsburgh Public Schools board elections. Its endorsed candidates, Tracey Reed and Gene Walker, will represent Districts 5 and 9. Sala Udin was also backed by the group and will begin his second term serving Hill District and East End communities. The board will begin a search for a new superintendent in December after new members are sworn in.
