Crime and incidents of violence can affect individuals on many levels, especially young people. In the wake of the violent attacks at Franklin Regional High School Wednesday morning we’d like to take time to talk about ways to cope with traumatic events. The Center for Victims is a victim advocacy group which offers support for those affected by violence. We’ll talk with Diane Dahm director of prevention education and outreach, and trauma therapist Toya Jones about coping skills for parents and young people after witnessing violence.
Pop Up Canada
The Canadian Consulate in New York has opened a temporary one-week installment in a building on Smithfield Street called Pop-Up Canada. Inside there are Canadian themed exhibits including one on hockey, featuring iconic NHL hardware such as the Art Ross Trophy, awarded to the leading scorer.
