Multiple injuries were sustained at Franklin Regional High School this morning. 19 students and one adult security guard were stabbed and taken to area hospitals.

Condition reports of all 20 victims continue to change, at least 7 people are said to be in serious condition, all are expected to survive.

A 16 year old suspect is in custody, according to 90.5 WESA’s ongoing coverage of the incident

Murrysville police Chief Thomas Seefeld said the bloody crime scene at Franklin Regional High School, some 15 miles east of Pittsburgh, was "vast" and may take a couple days to process. Police haven't named the suspect, who was taken into custody for questioning and later driven from the police station in the back of a cruiser for treatment for a minor hand wound. Investigators haven't determined a motive, but Seefeld said they're looking into reports of a threatening phone call between the suspect and another student the night before. Seefeld didn't specify whether the suspect reportedly received or made the call.

Murrysville police will be the lead agency in the investigation and will be aided by other regional law enforcement agencies. Franklin Regional High School will be closed for the next 2 to 3 days for the investigation.
